Podcast

I am going to embed the player for my podcast. I have been thinking about doing one for this blog or movies in general and then I started the out running the zombies blog and did one there. I am using podOmatic to host and while it's still in the early stages please give a listen and let me know what you think.

I may want to get into an actual radio show or something, but we will see.

What do you think? Does Fallen Bettie Horror House need a podcast? I'm thinking it just might.

Movie Review: Beneath The Darkness

This is one of those movies I saw mentioned on another site, saw it was on instant view on Netflix and added it to my queue. I am not sure what the draw to this movie is, but it turned out to be more of a in the background movie while I looked at prepping items online, than focus 100% of my attention on it.

Synopsis: A local mortician is being harassed by a few local teens because they believe he killed their friend and want to uncover his dark secrete.

Review: Like I said above I paid very little attention to this movie and it really did a poor job. Dennis Quad is the only known actor in this movie and the storyline just seems... boring. Yes, we all have heard the whole crazy window/er doing weird things at night and the local teens break into the house to find out what is going on. Yep, it's not a new concept and there really is nothing special to set it apart from the others.

So this movie gets only on star. It's not worth watching and it's not worth buying. Save your time for a much better movie.

News

Not a while lot is going on over at my horror house. I wanted to share some news that I have been finding on both myself and a social network game.

First of all I have decided to start a separate blog all about my journey in preparing for the zombie apocalypse. I am not sure if it's going to happen or if some other kind of doomsday event is going to happen, but if it does I want to be prepare. Mainly, my fitness level and health need to get kicked into gear and we need to start stocking up supplies. So if you want to see what I am up to and I won't be giving out too many secrets. check it out Out Running the Zombies.

Any lastly the social network game for The Walking Dead has finally started beta testing. I have done some playing of it and while I was looking forward to it, there's nothing to make it different from any other social network game. You can only play a few missions with the amount of energy you have... unless you want to throw away a lots of money on buying energy. I will probably play the game on and off like all the other social network games I have been playing. It's not something to rush right over to facebook and play the game. Try it out if you are a fan of the show, but don't expect much from it.

Well better get back to sharping my axes....

Part 2 of What to Wear Zombie Edition

I realized there was one important thing I left out about why wearing long sleeves and pants was a smart idea rather than tank tops and skinny jeans. The best example I can think of is episode 4 of season one of the walking dead. Amy is wearing a shirt sleeved shirt and while yelling to the group they are out of TP a zombie bites her right on the exposed arm.

I'm not saying that thick sleeves like a Dickies workshirt will prevent every and all zombie bites and injuries, but it could give you a few seconds to kill that zombie before they bite your tasty flesh. So not only will it help hide you it could prevent you from becoming one of the walking dead.
