So we finally get to see the trailer for season 4 of the Walking Dead. It looks pretty good. Though what I see could easily be either a few episodes or the entire season. It's hard to tell since it seems like they are going back and forth between the story lines. Plus we know that the trailers are very tricky and easily fool you.

World War Z Second Trailer
We have been given the second trailer to the... well I won't say anticipated movie because I doubt anyone is looking forward to this movie anymore. With all the news about the issues with it and then re-filming there's little hope for it now I think.
I thought the book was okay and was looking forward to the movie to help me see things better, but after seeing this trailer there seems to be almost no parts of the book even in this movie. Yes, the book is written like a memoir with different people's experiences, but I do not see anything I remember from the book. This trailer does seem to have some hope that the movie isn't a total lost, but I think relating it to the book is a bad call. Did anyone even see a zombie in this trailer? I didn't.

World War Z Trailer
So we finally get to see what the movie is going to look like. I have read the book and while I get why some movies... okay most movies that are based on the book don't match up, but this is one that I think could have been. I had trouble piecing it together and a movie version would help with that. From what I see this is hardly related to the book. There are a lot of things I see in this trailer that make me mad as a zombie fan. I know the movie has had a lot of issues with it from the director and other things.
So watch the trailer before you read my opinion on the trailer.
First of all the whole beginning half of the trailer with them in the car and the mad chaos just doesn't feel right. It looks too clean and you see nothing really dangerous going on. Now I assume in the movie at some point you'll see zombies, but they waited towards the end to show them. And we have no clue what the hell Brad Pitt's character even does and why they need him. I assume he's playing the part of the narrator of the book who interviews people and I think was a doctor or something like that. So I am assuming he's some kind of agent or someone like that because why the hell else would he be traveling to help people. Eh who knows what they were thinking.
Second and this is my main issue what the hell are these zombies on? I definatly don't see the zombies Max Brooks mentions in either of this books (i'm still working on the zombie survival guide), but you can change zombies only so much before they aren't even zombies. The wave of them in what I assume is the middle east or African or the horde trying to climb the wall just doesn't seem right. It's like all the zombies are on Meth or something. Yes, zombies don't have to be slow, but my god do they need to be like...I don't know what moves like that, but still it's horrible. I know zombies are hot right now and some people may want to play around with them, but for me this is like taking the creatures of I Am Legend describing them as vampires, but they are really zombies or visa versa I forgot what those things are. So the zombies are a huge fail. No wonder they were having issues.
Anyone else find it weird that they escape in an RV like the survivors in the Walking Dead?
Lastly, this movie just doesn't speak to me. The trailer just makes me mad rather than wanting to see it. Nice way to ruin a movie people.

The Walking Dead Season 3 Trailer
I am pretty sad that I am not at Comic Con, but I do love that the trailer for season 3 of The Walking Dead is out and it looks good. I know it's full of action like we see in the trailer. Oh and Merle makes a guest appearance so I wonder if he's back... And because I am a nerd I love that they are singing/playing the Parting Glass

True Blood Season 5 Trailer
Season 5 Clip Trailer
I know there was a teaser trailer, which shows pretty much nothing so I was happy to see this one with actual scenes. Looks like as usual a lot of shit is going to go down. I am not sure what is happening since if any of this season is based on the books I am only on book 5 so I am a bit clueless. So hopefully this season has a lot of things to keep up entertained. I kind of accidentally became a fan of the show and books.
Though you have to wait until June to see what is going to happen.

Vacation Time
So I will be out of town this weekend and will not have my laptop so no posts from me. However to keep up with the challenge I have already done the posts and if it works the schedule feature will automatically post them for me. So look forward to that.
If you want to know if I am doing any cool horror related stuff on my trip, well I am not. I'm going to Boston to see the Dropkick Murphy's play at Fenway and do some sight seeing. Now I might try to do one of those haunted night tours and if I do I will take pictures and write about it. It would be the second time I have ever done this, the first being the Queen Mary.
I am hoping to read and finish World War Z while on the plane and will do a review on that if I am able to read it. I might have to take homework to do instead, but we'll see.
I also have the teaser trailer that was just released for Human Centipede II. No gore just some clips from the first movie and shots of Martin. I'm wondering if it will be in black and white since everything I have seen hasn't been in color. Doesn't matter I'm not seeing it, but here's the trailer in case you are curious. http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810179244/video/26546472

Resident Evil Viral Website
I thought I would share this, since this game fits right in the with the zombie genre. It was out before zombies became... popular I guess is the correct word. Now I have not played any of the games, so my knowledge is a bit limited, but I must say having a viral website is pretty cool to do before the release.
The game is Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Like I said I have not played any of these games, but this website does make me want to play this one, when it comes out. The premise of the website is to bring you to the Umbrella Science website where you'll learn all about them... actually the website gets hacked by another website called inserted evil where a mysterious man is trying to bring to light (no pun intended) all the bad things that are going on with Umbrella. The website will give you clues weekly and you have to solve them. You can get help from friends via facebook and twitter to help unlock the clues. The first clue is up and no I have not solved it yet.
I will say this is a ingenious idea by Capcom to get people not only excited about the game, but to keep them busy until it comes out on... well that's still unknown according to IGN. I say give the site a looks and if you are into what is going on try to solve the clues. Check out the website at www.umbrellasciences.com
Here's the E3 trailer for the game incase you are curious about the game.

Comic-Con 2001: Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer
From the look of this trailer it's going to be an interesting season. As I have mentioned I am no zombie fan, but this show does have my interest. Watch the trailer and let me know what you think of it.

The Thing Trailer
I never saw the 1982 version of this movie, but after seeing this trailer I just might see if and this one. For those of you who are confused on this movie, it's a prelude to John Carpenter's 1982 movie by the same name. Yeah I know a little confusing. Here's the trailer, it looks pretty good.
Anyone looking forward to this movie?

Shark Night 3D
It looks like once again this summer the theater will be taken over by another cheesy animal attack movie. What am I talking about, well I am talking about Shark Night 3-D. That's right after last summer's Piranha 3-D that some of us suffer through, I have yet to see the movie, there will be another movie like it this summer. What's summer without water, bikinis, sex and murder?
From what I can tell from the trailer, since an actual website for the movie has nothing, but the trailer and IMDB has a two sentence synopsis, this movie is about 7 college kids (surprise, surprise) who are planning a trip to an island miles away from the mainland. I thought it was the Florida Keys, but I guess it's Louisiana Gulf Coast. Does it matter where it is? Not really, but I guess it does and you'll understand once I finish explaining the plot of the movie.
So these good looking and sexy college kids are enjoying their time having sex and drinking because that's all us college kids do, right? So we all know one of the main rules in horror movies, if you have sex you will die. While I cannot say for sure if this is true, more than likely it will be true. I haven't seen a horror movie yet, where someone has sex and survived, but correct me if I am wrong. So after some time on this island, one of the college kids gets killed. From the look of the trailer it covers another rule in horror movies, the black person is always the first to die if present. I don't know why this is true, but if you look on the comments on the trailer I posted you will see it come up a lot. Anyway back to the trailer, it turns out that sharks are attacking these kids. Oh no!! Not the sexy drunk kids. Whatever shall we do?!
Yes, sharks, just like in Jaws, all the sequels that came after plus Deep Blue Sea. We know sharks are scary and people think they will attack everyone in the water. This is so not true and the man who wrote the book Jaws has been trying to fix the damage he has done letting everyone know that sharks are not something to fear and kill, but respect. Okay, I'll get off my hippie, animal loving soapbox. To make it even more scary this movie will be in 3-D. Which means 3-D BOOBIES!!! Yes, now those of you men who don't have a real pair to squeeze and grab and can try to grab fake movie optical illusion boobs. This also means you will be paying an extra couple of bucks for them fancy 3-D glasses that don't come in the awesome blue and red lenses anymore. So this means that if you sit in the direct center of the theater you might have boobs and sharks coming to attack you. If you are not so lucky then it will just pass you by.
Another, annoying thing about the movie is the Louisiana Gulf Coast is freshwater. For all of you who are not so into science, like me, even though I work at a zoo, sharks live in saltwater or sea water. They can not survive in freshwater because their bodies are made a certain way to handle the salt, just like we are meant to breath in oxygen and not carbon dioxide. From the looks of the trailer there is some sick bastard/s who are setting these sharks loose. So, there could be a serial killer angle to this movie as well.
In case you are wondering who directed it, it is done by the same guy who did the second and fourth final destination movies. Yeah those were such great movies. Also, the only name on the cast list I recognize is Katherine McPhee and I don't know many pop stars. She's not one of the main college kids so I have no clue who any of these actors are, but that's not big surprise here. Most horror movies today either have washed up actors or no names.... okay well maybe not all of them, Saw had Donnie Wahlberg who is doing pretty good these days.
So it seems this movie is just another way to scare the crap out of people from going swimming and make lots of money because it's in 3-D, "it's like I can touch you."(see video below to get the joke. It's a funny video that explains 3-D). So will I see this movie.... if I am really bored this summer, maybe I will so I can make fun of it. I doubt I will be that bore between working 40 plus hours and the fact I'm taking the GRE, but maybe I will want to drive myself further into insanity by watching this. If I don't see it in the theater I will watch in when it comes out on DVD, which will probably be by Valentine's Day. Aww what a sweet gift that would be for your sweetie.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the videos below. They both should have you laughing.
