Day 12: 30 Day Favorite Horror Film Challenge

Day 12 - Your favorite horror film involving the occult - There are a lot of movies that fit this category and I was having trouble narrowing a choice. Film makers love to make movies about the occult and how it affects people. We know, Oujia boards are bad and if you do something wrong in a spell you will cause a lot of harm. 

So my choice is The Exorcist. This movie is pretty basic, but there is so much about it that really makes it better than the rest in my book. I think a classic example is the pea soup incident. Something so simple yet it is trapped in the minds of those who saw the movie. It's always brought up in a reference to something. I also think it was one of the first movies that made the exorcist out front to the world. Being Catholic I know that it is kept secret who is the exorcist for that area. It's almost like a dirty little secret, but we know they exist, but no one really knew what it was like to see one being perform. Now a says any movie about Catholics have to do with either a demon possession or a priest with bad habits. This movie really does a great job.
